'RUNAWAY'
Melbourne born, Los Angeles based Indie/Folk musician, Ben Abraham released “Runaway”, the fifth single from his recently announced sophomore album, “Friendly Fire” last month and with an upbeat, synth-lead production, it’s perfect for fans of Sam Smith and Years & Years.
Not only is Abraham an exceptional live performer, songwriter and musician, but he’s also secured over half a million monthly listeners on Spotify and more than 800 million career streams to date. Previously working with Kesha, Demi Lovato and Macklemore, the natural storyteller details finding his faith before losing it on the opening album track, setting the tone for his forthcoming release. “Runaway” is out now and you can pre-order “Friendly Fire” ahead of its release on 21st January 2022 HERE.

NAKED NEXT DOOR
'MOMENT'
British band, Naked Next Door have just released their first single for 2021, ’Moment’ and it’s their best song yet. The four-piece group, consisting of singer Euan Emerton, lead guitarist Tommy Woodward, drummer Callum Petchey and bassist Corin Schencks, formed in 2017 and their debut single ‘I Can’t See Straight’ followed soon after. Drawing inspiration from Nothing But Thieves, Catfish and the Bottlemen and The 1975, the Indie/Rock group are heavily involved in the creative process, with the frontman being the sole writer of their latest track and with Corin assisting on production.
‘Moment’ comes after their six-track EP release, titled ‘Swerving Out Wide’, which received support from Radio X and their local BBC Introducing. The song, perfect for screaming along to with the windows down, is recommended for fans of The Night Cafe, The Hunna and anyone else with good taste. We’re hoping to see the guys live again soon after they smashed their London show early last year!

FRANCIS KAREL
'YOU’RE TOO CLOSE'
With just three official singles to his name, TikTok sensation Francis Karel is our first One To Watch of 2021 with his latest track, ‘You’re Too Close’. The 22 year old singer/songwriter moved from Jakarta to LA to pursue music full time and has quickly gathered millions of views across social media for his beautiful covers of popular songs.
With a style similar to that of Ed Sheeran and Bruno Mars, the young musician’s raw talent and likability shines through on his popular TikTok videos, where he serenades strangers on video chat website Omegle and at times even brings them to tears. Despite the single being based on a fear of commitment, it’s clear that Karel is extremely dedicated to his career in music and we can’t wait to hear more from him in 2021!

AMOUR
'AFTERPARTY'
Brighton based electronic synth pop trio, Amour have just released their second ever track, ‘Afterparty’, and have thrown you right back into the 80s whilst doing so! The group (made up of non-binary lead vocalist Megan Bush, guitarist Josh Wood and synth/guitarist Mario Mihasi) instill feel good nostalgic vibes on their new track, influenced by The 1975, The Aces, MUNA and more.
Providing an alternate version to the release is an Afterparty remix by multi-platinum selling producer and DJ, Gigamesh. Already working with such a big name and being featured on BBC Introducing with debut single ‘Just A Little’, Amour are a clear one to watch.

OMAR APOLLO
'KAMIKAZE'
After posting songs online in 2016 and seeing a couple of them go viral, Omar Apollo has continued to rise since deciding to pursue music full time half a decade ago. Releasing his third single for the summer of this year, ‘Kamikaze’ blends genres from across the board with the likes of Bowie and D’Angelo being mentioned as some of Apollo’s musical influences.
When asked about his new release, Apollo revealed “I was reminiscing on how I used to feel for someone and realizing those feelings are lost and we’re left with nothing.” via a press statement. Being so heavily involved in the songwriting and production of the track gives his 2 million monthly Spotify listeners a real insight into Apollo’s true feelings, further building excitement for his forthcoming debut album.

CAT BURNS
'GO'
Downloading Tik Tok out of boredom whilst on lockdown was a smart career move for up and coming British artist, Cat Burns, who quickly exploded into fame on the app. Gaining over 500,000 followers on the widely used platform for posting beautiful acoustic covers and teasers of original songs, Burns’ soulful voice grabbed attention from millions thanks to her musical talent. Originally teasing her new track, ‘Go’ on Tik Tok before it’s official release last Friday and taking to Instagram to dedicate the single to “anyone going through a breakup or a really hard time”, her second release of 2020 is a beautifully written track about terminating a relationship with cheating partner.
We see huge potential from this BRIT School graduate and we are looking forward to hearing more from her soon!

THE MEZZ
‘CAFFEINE’
There’s a new band on the block and with just two songs to their name, four piece group The Mezz are our Ones To Watch with their new single, ‘Caffeine’. Despite only forming in late 2019, they’re already full speed ahead with two incredible tracks and a bunch of successful live shows under their belt. The band, made up of Ben, Dan, George and Charlie, released their debut single, ‘When I Found You’ in March of this year and the upbeat track inspired by an old colleague frequently visiting his mentally ill daughter shortly followed.
We’ve heard some of their unreleased music during an amazing live show and hope to hear more studio versions soon. OFF THE MEZZY!

‘NOBODY TO LOVE’
Dropping his second single so far in 2020, Anthony Russo’s summer track ‘Nobody To Love’ is a guaranteed pick me up for your lockdown blues. With a contagious beat you’ll find yourself dancing to without even realising and beautifully sung lyrics “I just wanna make music, like I was back in the basement” which acknowledge his past, Russo adds to his already impressive discography with this amazing Pop track.
The talented young artist already has over half a million monthly listeners on Spotify and has previously toured with G-Eazy, who collaborated with him on the 2018 release, ‘Rewind’. With two EPs to Anthony’s name, we look forward to him hopefully releasing a debut album soon!

Ramya pothuri
‘do you care?’
Ramya Pothuri is our latest One To Watch with her incredible collaborative track 'Do You Care?'. Combining a beautiful voice (which gives us goosebumps) and chilled out soulful vibes, the single, released in early April, is just one of many amazing tunes from the St Louis born artist, who is currently residing in Mumbai. The single, produced by frequent collaborative partner, Trodd, is one of three gorgeous tracks the pair have released and with lyrics such as “I know I shouldn’t have called, maybe I’m invisible” to get you in your feelings, her music is perfect for evenings indoors and beach walks.
Ramya has also just released a video for ‘Sticky’ as part of Water & Rum, a duo with Tanya Shah, where their ethereal voices will take you to a place much more beautiful than the four walls you’re currently trapped in.

‘NIGHTMARE’
New England born singer/songwriter, nothing,nowhere. has released his brand new single, ‘Nightmare’. The alternative track blends rock with 80s vibes to create a song about not being able to get the hurt someone caused you out of your head. Releasing both the single and music video on the same day, the 27 year old starts off the visual, directed by Patrick Lawler passed out on a couch in an 80s themed apartment. ‘Nightmare’ follows six track EP, ‘Bloodlust’, a collaborative project with Travis Barker released in 2019.

‘MIDWEST KIDS CAN MAKE IT BIG’
Lauren Sanderson has gone into the new decade with a bang with the release of her debut album, ‘Midwest Kids Can Make It Big’. The eight track project, which was released on her 24th birthday includes previous singles, ‘Hotel Room’, ‘Upset’ and ‘To The People I’ve Hurt’. Singing about love, regret and ending a relationship, the Indiana born singer/songwriter makes the toughest situations sound beautiful. With lyrics such as “even on my worst days feeling like my birthday” and “every time I’d save us I’d put myself second”, Lauren harmonises relatable lyrics over an incredible production.

'INSOMNIA'
This Christmas, MitchyLago, a newcomer on the rap scene has dropped his music video for his latest single, ‘Insomnia’. The video, which was shot and directed by Mriamdigital, sees Lago rap lyrics like “I don’t take no Ls, I only take cheques” over a great production with smooth visual transitions, going from the artist spitting bars in his car to beside colourful neon lights.
The video follows the release of his six track EP, ‘Breesh Mode’, which featured banger ‘Too Many Vibes’ as well as the title track ‘Breesh’. The video is a great end to Lago’s first year of officially releasing music and he shows no signs of slowing down in 2020!

'aint dumb'
Fresh off of tour with Christian French, up-and-coming artist, ASTN has just dropped his latest single, Ain’t Dumb. The talented singer, songwriter, instrumentalist and producer perfectly blends pop and R&B, along with influences from other genres to create a unique sound. Stating that the single is about more than just being angry, but about “remembrance and growth’’, ASTN sings about how his move to California caused issues in his relationship. The single follows his debut EP, ‘Leave Me Before I Love You’, a six track project that includes previous singles Butterflies, Leave Me Before I Love You and a stripped back and even more beautiful sounding version of Tidal Wave. ANTHONY ORTIZ
'BAD FRIENDS'
Finally free from his contractual obligations, 21 year old Anthony Ortiz is back with incredible new track ‘Bad Friends’. This mischievous pop single follows previous genre-bending solo bangers including ‘Watch My Fire’ and ‘Tongue Twister’ and all are perfect for any occasion. The track may only be two minutes long but it’s plenty of time for it to get stuck in your head and with relatable lyrics, a beautiful falsetto and excellent production from Bardo, ‘Bad Friends’ has it all. It’s still early days for Ortiz but he does have a few musical successes already under his belt; he appeared on The Voice USA earlier this year, he’s performed at Playlist Live and has racked up nearly 30,000 monthly listeners on Spotify. BROKECOVE
'HOSTILE'
Rising stars, Brokecove have only recently launched their music career and show no signs of slowing down with the release of their third single, ‘Hostile’. The dynamic duo made up of 18 year old Emily-Anne Harbord and 20 year old Caesar Calimlim yet again prove that their young age in no way impacts their singing or songwriting abilities. The alt/pop pair beautifully harmonise lyrics like “I’ll just play nice, cos you’re hostile” and compliment one another’s voices very well whilst doing so. Brokecove have recently moved to London and stated that fans should expect ‘cool projects soon and hopefully some cool collaborations’ and I for one cannot wait to hear more. It also looks like some live shows may be on the horizon, so give them a follow and keep a look out for gig announcements!

'YOU ARE LOSING ME'
Do you feel like crying, or do you feel like dancing? Chelsea Cutler’s new single, You Are Losing Me is perfect for both. The catchy beats, produced by Chelsea herself will have you on your feet whilst relatable lyrics like ‘you weren’t losing me when I already lost you’ can hit real close to home. Making a vulnerable and honest confession through social media, Cutler states that she has been feeling detached from her career as a musician, but luckily on the release date of this great track, she has now found the solution. This fast-growing artist has dropped many amazing solo projects and has previously collaborated with talented artists including Jeremy Zucker, Kygo and Quinn XCII. I hope there is so much more to come as I’m really enjoying watching her journey!

'SUMMERTIME' FEAT LIL AARON
After dropping everything and leaving his job as a tour manager to pursue his own dream of being a musician in 2018, Riley has yet again proved that he made the right choice with the release of his brand new single, ‘Summertime’. Teaming up with Lil Aaron for the track, the duo sing lyrics such as “I would switch up on any girl that I have just to get you for the summertime” over an amazing production.
The track is a perfect love song for the late summer and only increases anticipation for Riley’s upcoming debut album ‘Loss Angeles’ which is expected to be released on October 4th 2019.

Describing the EP as “a storyline of me moving to New York City and falling in love and having my heart broken,'' Fletcher bears all with beautiful, honest lyrics about different stages in a past relationship, from opening single “If You’re Gonna Lie” where Fletcher tells us an all too real love story of staying with a lover despite their constant deception to her new release “Strangers” where the title explains it all. CAL SCRUBY
'UNSIGNED'
Did your Dad eat Cal Scruby’s ass at a gas station? It’s the question that has been on all of our minds since his debut album ‘Unsigned’ was released just over a week ago. The 15 track rap album features genius lyrics referencing pop culture, basketball, food and of course, sex. Cal’s relaxed attitude and top notch banter outside of the studio are also found on his tracks with clever yet playful lines such as ‘if you’re a snack, then your Insta is a cookbook’ and ‘I could use a few drinks, she could use a Fiji’.
The album, which was written, recorded and mixed by Cal has an amazing production by Corbett Music. On top of the fire beats, Cal’s introductory song, ‘Shut Up’ features a speech about how he’s happy making the songs he wants to make as opposed to radio hits and we’re glad he’s taken this direction and really showed us what he’s capable of. This rising talent is soon to be a household name, and we can’t wait to see him touring. With hints of new music already in the works, it’s best you check him out now before he blows up!
