The first picture of Ben Forster in the title role of the Phantom has been released ahead of his debut in The Phantom of the Opera at Her Majesty’s Theatre, taking over from John Owen-Jones from 1st February 2016.

Ben is probably best known for winning the ITV1 show Superstar – Andrew Lloyd Webber’s TV talent search for Jesus in Jesus Christ Superstar. His other theatre credits include playing Magaldi in Evita at the Dominion Theatre and Buddy in Elf the Musical also at the Dominion Theatre.

Speaking to From the Front Row about the role last year, Ben said: ‘Phantom was the very first thing I saw when I was 10, and I remember being completely in awe. The fact that I’m getting to play that in February is really iconic for me. I can’t even believe that I’m going to be Phantom!’
